My names are James Ndolo Adera, I was born in 1983 in Migori County, Nyanza province, Awendo District, Rongo Division, Central Sakwa Location, Kombok Sub - Location, Kokuro Village. I went to Kokuro primary in 1989 - 1997, I joined Kanyawanga High School in 1998 - 2001 and I went to the College of Accountancy Ruraka Nairobi in 2004 - 2006. I am a married man with one wife Mrs Lucy Kagire and we have 2 sons.
I am employee of Transmara Sugar Company Ltd as Sales Accountant and same time A businessman.
I James Ndolo Adera I am Resident of Awndo Town, Currently working at Transmara Sugar Company Limited since June 2012 till to date as a Sales Accountant and also same time as Treasurer at Transmara Sugar Company Sacco Limited.
I James Adera, Again I am a Business man operating in Awendo Town. I have a one motorbike which operating between Awendo town and Rongo Town area and per day making a daily income of Kshs 400 after paying the operator and any other services required from Monday to Friday. I am also operating another business in Awendo Town whereby am selling new and Refills of gas cylinders, grills, burners, both 3kg, 6 kg and 13 kg. horse pipes, regulators and lanterns.
In this business I make a net of Kshs 1000 per day . There is a lot of demand for the cylinders due to extinguishing trees for making charcoal and fire wood. The business is still young due to little capital base but can do much better given access to enough capital. Currently averagely per day we sale four, 6kg cylinders and one 13kg cylinder per day and other gas products like grills, lanterns, burners, regulators giving us net as about Kshs 1000 as indicated above.
The business has got it risks as well, to accommodate many customers, we offer credit sales which are to be recovered by the end of every month. This , is not going well with us as some customers opt not to pay in time as agreed. This create a lot of risks of bad debts and additional costs of following up these bad debts. The business also, encounters competition from the local petrol stations which offer competitively lower prices due to their huge capitals base compared to my business which is still young and growing. The customers prefer my business as we offer free deliveries within the town, good customer service they get from my two workers who manage the business and the credit facility we offer to them.
I am very much grateful for all Zidisha lenders and the management for the support they have given right from the beginning of my first loan, up to the current one that am now applying for. These loans have greatly made me improve my business which, I started with low income and inventory capital base, and has grown reasonably. Having enough stock has also enabled me grow my customers confidence whereby, they don't miss the supplies whenever they need it hence, an improved sales and more profit at the end of the day and my capital as well for my business. Customers have always asked for other accessories like gas cookers, which have not stocked because of limited resources and my next loan will used to buy such accessories and add more existing stock as follows:- Gas cookers with 2 banners @ 4000x10pcs = 40,000 Cylinders 13kg filled with gas @ 7500x5pcs = 37,500 Banners for the 6kg gas @ 500x20pcs = 10,000 As refers to the above budget, I would have been safe to have more cash than the amount applied to cater for other expenses like Transport 6Kg cylinders Grills Regulators
Since we are approaching December holidays, I would like to ask all lenders to support me raise this bids in time to enable me have enough inventory as the number of clients will be increasing due to Christmas holidays which is approaching.
Thank you all and yours sincerely,
James Adera
