About Me

My names are Fredrick Ng’ang’a Kamau, 28 years old from Kenya, am currently residing in Makongeni Estate, Mwangangai’s Apartment, 1st floor house no. B6, approximately 5 km from Thika town.

I am a holder of Diploma in Business Management and I have acquired skills and knowledge in ICT, in relation to that I am God fearing and holds Godliness and Integrity as my main core value both in business and in life.

After college I was unable to secure a good job as my wishes were, so I ended up being employed as a hotel attendant for a period of 3 years. During that period I managed to do savings from my salary which enabled me to start a small business of selling animals feeds and Agriculture inputs in my area. The reason that prompted me to start this business was due to scarcity of this nature of business in my locality hence resulted to farmers experiencing problems and challenges in accessing animal feeds and inputs.

As a young entrepreneur, I have a vision of establishing dynamic and successful businesses in my locality and nation wide.

I also believe in capacity building to marginalized and the needy in the community by providing to them a means of income generating activities which will sustain them in life and become self reliant.

My Business

Am running animal feeds and Agriculture inputs business, the reason why I ventured into this business was due to limited type of this business in my locality which resulted to farmers having problems to access animal feeds and these agriculture inputs.

Through my humble financial input to this business and by the fact that i buy animal feeds and these inputs direct from the distributors, it has become possible and easier for farmers who are my major customers to access them at a very affordable and competitive price.

From the time I started to source products direct from distributors the demand has been very high due to competitive and reasonable price I give to my customers. I normally buy a 90kg bag of Maize Jam at 12 dollars and sell it at 18 dollars compared to other sellers who are selling at 20 dollars.

I have been experiencing challenges of not meeting my customers’ demand due to limited finances and resources.

I appreciate Zidisha loans since it will boost my business in terms of stock and hence meet the rising demands from my customers.

I invest in this business not only because of the returns I get from it but also due to the great impact it is causing to farmers who are my major customers.

Loan Proposal

Hi lenders thanks a lot for accepting my request to become a zidisha borrower, as I stated earlier my business involves buying and selling of animal feeds and farm inputs, where I normally purchase them at a lower cost and sell at a higher reasonable margin, this strategy has really helped my business to takeover other competitors and thus concurring in my location.
This loan am intending to budget it as follows
1). 70 dollars I will purchase more animal feeds from my distributor, because when I buy in bulk the price is lower thus enables me get more extra income than the other times I purchase in small quantities.
2). 20 dollars will cater for other expenses such as renewal of business license as I normally renew it at the beginning of the year
3). 10 dollars will meet other miscellaneous cost such as transport and other bills.
Thanks a lot as you fund my project. God bless you
