About Me

I am married with two kids, a boy and a girl. I dropped out of my secondary school education while in my first term -Form Four due to lack of school fees and exam registration fees. This was back in 2004. I decided to look for casual labours around my village where I managed to be employed by one farmer, who does horticulture farming earning a salary of $45 per month until 2009.
Whereby I complained and said that the salary was very small because it is this year when I married and got extra needs of wife. My salary was added up to $50 per month which was still small and I decided to leave the work and start a small business of selling vegetables at our Makindu down town market up to date and my family depends on this business.

My Business

I sell vegetables in Makindu down town market and this does well especially during market day and it is always on Monday. My business is not big is a small one of about $100. I sell tomatoes, sukuma-wiki (kales), spinach, potatoes, carrots, onions, peppers and cabbages. The loan that am applying will enable me to add more vegetables of different varieties and also add fruit business because I see they hard of my customers have asked me several times. This is what am planning to do with the loan as I look forward to growing and expanding in terms of business.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to add more vegetables commodities and fruits of about $150. Inventory of eggs from indigenous hens of about $150 and eggs from layers of about $150. My customers have asked me eggs for a long time and I have promised my customers that i will be sellings eggs to them very soon .kindly lenders support me to keep this promise life.

Hi James, I'm starting to get worried -- above all for your well-being. You are now 5 weeks behind repayments with no news from you or your VM. Clearly you are facing some difficulties, could you or your VM/inviter please let us now what is going on? Thanks!

    Good people,

Here is a loan by a brother, James, to a committed borrower & VM Wilson.

James' is a grocery business in a busy highway town of Makindu. He is very small but with your help we'll have another youth actively engaged in income generation.

Loaning people like him makes Zidisha the great platform that it is!

Unemployment is already high in Kenya, we don't want him to join the dissillussioned group.

Make him proud of waking up every morning to the market & know that it will be another great day!

    VM Shehi.
