I am Jane Wanjiru Karu,a Kenya born citizen,a female,a mother of three kids and a wife to Mr.Ndungu.I have gone through the primary education level ,Secondary level and lastly the college level. While in my college level,I was doing a business management course which I happened to pass with a Diploma upper division in the Business management.
After my college education, I secured a job in a local company which i did for a period of 3 years.Later in the 2012,I quit employment and shifted to start my own work for the benefit of the community, which I landed in mixed farming for earning income for my family. My husband too does his own business in Nakuru town.We both work hard to meet our family daily needs, thus making me to work extra hard.Thank you.
I am practicing a mixed farming in my 50 by 100 squared plot as a means of earning income for my family.I have been in this business for the last 2 years now,and i have never regretted doing the agribusiness. My farming consists of rearing indigenous chicken for eggs, crop plantations(In this case the perennial crops to maturity),and one cow for milk. All the products are sold to my loyal customers who have not abandon me since I started doing this type of business.
The agribusiness here in Kenya is somehow new to most of the business people( farmers) ,which is not being embraced by most farmers, thus giving me a clean opportunity to exhaust all the available resources to expand my farming activities.
With the help of Zidisha paltform I will be able to expand my farm activities in purchasing more cabbages seedlings(Simlaw seeds company-F1 variety) and 50 Kgs of fertilizer so that i can keep distribution of the fresh produce throughout this year to my customers.I am humbly praying that the Zidisha team courtesy of their able Lending panel will succeed my farm expansion project through the Zidisha loan.To all the Zidisha team,Thank you for supporting my agribusiness project and for the Zidisha loan.Thank you in advance.
With the kind assistance of $100 from the Zidisha Microfinance,I will be purchasing the following items to maximize my farm production.
(1)50 Kgs of N.P.K fertilizer at a cost of Ksh.3.500.
(2)F1 cabbage seedlings (1 kg)at a cost of Ksh.1900.
(3)Add 2 more casual workers at a cost of Ksh.1200 for three days only.
The above items will play a major role in my farm on the side of the crop production, which will translate for a massive good harvest.I am looking forward to improve my farm project through your kind assistance.Thank you in advance to you all.
