My name is Lucy Vera Antwi. l am from a very nice town in Volta Region in Ghana . Now, l live in Kasoa- Accra , capital of Ghana. My hobbies are dancing, reading books, travelling and praying games.
I grew up with five siblings and my parents are Mr and Mrs Antwi . When l completed school I tried to find job . Despite my greatest efforts, l was unable to find a job . l remained unemployed, depending on my parents for housing and food. Later l decided to set up my own food service enterprises and my dream came to pass .l established my own food service enterprise .l provide healthy lunches to School Children . This business help the children in my area a lot. Owning my business has enabled me to earn a stable income of around GHC 200 ($65) a day, which has changed my life. l used my earnings to reinvest into my business , pay my health bills, and pay house rent. I am happy because l am self-employed and can contribute to our external family’s livelihood.
About my business , I run a small food service enterprise for school children. I started from my own savings. I Provide healthy lunches to school children. healthy and tasty meals are produced locally using fresh fruit and vegetables and sold to school children in local neighborhoods to improve the nutrition of the school children. My customers are the school children and I have a very good customers who always buy from me .They prefer my food to others because l sell healthy and fresh meal to them at the low price.
My business is profitable because I have so many school children so I sell more. The risk my business have been facing is lack of capital to reinvest so that l will provide more fresh meal with vegetables to the school children in my area and rent a commercial catering kitchen. Secondly my competitors .
This food service has impact on the school children because it provides nutritious meal with fresh fruit and vegetables to the school children .
The catering service earns its income and profit from school children willing and able to buy my food. The cost of running this business is very high due to the cost of renting a commercial catering kitchen and as well as the high cost of fresh produce.
I know very well l am going to pay back the loan because of the profit I make per day. I make at least income of GHS 200 ($65) a day.
I own food services enterprise that provide food for school children. The cost of running this business is very high due to the cost of renting a commercial catering kitchen and it equipment as well as the high cost of fresh produce.
I will used the loan to buy fresh produce ,equipment as well as seeking to build catering kitchen of my own to help and support the school children in my community by providing them nutritious meals with fresh fruits and vegetables .also when l expand my business some unemployed youth in the community will get the opportunity to get a job. Iam asking Zidisha and lenders to lend me this loan so that l will stop renting a commercial catering kitchen and get my own. I do believe strongly that with the help from Ienders and Zidisha I will be able to satisfy my customers and through that my goal will come to reality.
I know very well l am going to pay back the loan because of the profit I make per day. I make at least income of GHS 200 ($65) a day. I will be paying the loan from the Profit
Thank you very much Zidisha and all the lenders for giving me this opportunity .
