About Me

My name is Esther, a young woman who is doing business of selling second hand clothes in Bamburi area in Kenya's coast. I was born in Mombasa and attended school up to secondary school. I do not have any professional training for now but I hope to join a management college to do a course in human resource management. I hope to continue doing business for now until I get enough money to fund my education.


I am single and living with my parents. My hobbies are reading and traveling and I always do these activities whenever time and resources allow.

My Business

I sell second hand clothes. I mostly sell ladies dresses and skirts. I buy my stock from people who import these clothes from Europe and North America. Many people prefer these imported second hand clothes because they say they are durable and cost less than new clothes.

I run the business on rented premises where I pay $20 as monthly rent. My business gives me around $120 but I am hoping to make it grow in the near future and generate more income. I use this money for my upkeep and to support my parents when they fall short of cash.

Loan Proposal

I will use this loan to buy more clothes. I need to get more stock since we are now in high season and the sales are good. I want to maximize my profit by stocking a wider variety of clothes for all ages and gender.

I am optimistic that with an injection of USD 55, I will be able to boost my sales in a big way and increase my profits.
