About Me

I am Grace Wakarindi Mugo.I am a permanent resident of Kivumbini estate,Nakuru County,Kenya.I am a single mother of four children, namely,Muthoni,Wanjiku,Antony and Njesh. They are all still attending various schools, being the first born at Nanyuki Girls in 4th year, the rest i am living with them and they do attend a day school called Kisulisuli Primary school.
I am a christian faith and a church choir leader in my local Church.Since i am the sole bread winner in my family,i established a space in central business district (C.B.D)in the year 2012,where i have been operating my business.Thank you.

My Business

My business is located at the heart of Nakuru town,Kenya.I started operating my small kiosk in the year 2012.I started my business with a capital of Ksh25,000.My business deals with selling cigarettes, sweets, local mobile networks airtime(Orange, safaricom,Yu &Zain),polythene paper-bags,canned sodas, cakes among other goods. The business is licensed and issued with a single business permit(annual license) and it is located strategically close to my customers working area. After the Zidisha first loan and the second loan,my small kiosk has grown in attending my customers and the good services I am giving to my customers.I normally say that they are my boss of the day as they keep my normal life moving through their daily services. In a day i can now serve more than 150 different customers.
In a last month's sales i made a net total sales of Ksh.98,000.After i add more stock of Ksh.65,000,pay my business permit of Ksh.1260,pay my home rent and electricity bill & water Ksh.8,500,pay my children school fees Ksh.11,150.I was left with a clean Ksh.12,090,being a net profit.
In a way of the Zidisha Microfinance supporting my business,I am planning to relocate my business in a permanet building along Kenyatta lane off the C.K.patel building as I have booked one room. Also i will be able to add more goods from the local distributor, which will translate lower prices to my worthy customers and eventually make good sales and i will also make good profit which will sustain my family living standards and also expand my business too.Thank you.God bless Zidisha team.
