My name is Gloria Cherop, married with two kids. I am 28 years old now and first born in a family of four. I am a teacher and business lady doing business in Eldama Ravine town.
I studied teaching at Mosoriot Teachers college and currently employed as a PTA teacher at Tulwap Moi primary school where I teach science and social studies.
My income as a teacher is low owing to the fact that I have not been formally employed by the Teachers Service Commission. To supplement this, my husband and I established a fashion shop in Eldama Ravine town where we sell most types of clothes.
My hobbies are traveling with family, adventure and reading inspirational books
As a family, we own a fashion shop located in Eldama Ravine town. The town has a good population and thus great potential.
We sell all kinds of ready made clothing- men, ladies and children wear. During this festive period, the demand for clothes has been high and like to replenish the stock while introducing new ones.
The business has been very important in sustaining our family and have plans to improve by reaching more customers with new products.
I would like to expand my business by reaching new customers with new products. I am therefore planning to invest the loan on new clothes as adding inventory for the existing types.
I will therefore use $80 on new clothes and the remaining $20 on transport to and from Nairobi where I acquire new clothes on wholesale.
Increasing the inventory will increase profits by about 20% which will go to repaying the loan and saving for other investments in future.
