About Me

I am Ignatius from Prampam, a coastal town in the southwestern parts of Ghana. I am married with two children aged nine and seven (boy and girl).
I completed Junior High in the year 2002 and later had practical training in fields including drug store keeping, and phone repairs.

I started a business of phone accessories and airtime sales after working as a drug store assistant for a while.

My Business

The primary occupation in my community is fishing and young boys start at it around the age of 10, avoiding school.
It is a miracle that I did not become a fisherfolk too at that age at such early stage and I would like my kids to get ahead with their own education, at least to the senior high level.

On my part I would have loved to further up to university level if not for lack of money to support my education, so I would like to make use of my business to provide an opportunity for education for my kids.

Currently, i operate a phone cards and accessories shop . I sell all kinds of phone accessories and airtime. It is a useful business because it helps people to communicate and keep in touch. As well, it brings in much needed income. .

This business line requires regular stock replenishment and ability to keep up with the latest trends in mobile technology and training. I am lucky to have joined an association of african entrepreneurs where I learned about zidisha. in this association, I am getting exposed to vital information and resources that is helping me to improve my business and make my dream come true.

Loan Proposal

I would like to use this loan to purchase an inventory of phone accessories and airtime for my shop. I would repay the loan within a period of one month. The loan amount would be used to purchase the quantity that would help augment my stock for the period. Like all mobile phone businesses, sales are often good especially for sellers who can operate longer hours. I would apply this to ensure prompt repayment of this loan.

    hello lenders,

Greetings to you and I hope you are all well.

I have missed some installment but it wasnt deliberate. the market become very slow and I made some losses so I had too close this business temporarily to work elsewhere. Now, I am working in the construction field assisting my brother to support my family. Still, work opportunities are irregular, and much of my income goes to paying for my children's school and supplies. I hope to recover from this situation soon in order to send regular repayment. thans for understanding and prayers.

    Dear Lenders,

I had the pleasure of meeting with Ignatius last week when I visited Prampram. Prampram is situated the coast about two hours away from Accra and home to quiet and pretty beaches, where Ignatius grew up as the last of five children. Now he has two of his own (A ten-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl) and still lives in his hometown close to family.

Ignatius heard about Zidisha from Cornelius, one of our most experienced Volunteer Mentors, and was excited about the possibility of injecting some extra money into his business. As the market slowed, he had to close his business temporarily to work elsewhere. Now he works in construction assisting his brother to support his family. Still, work opportunities as a freelance contractor are irregular, and much of his income goes to paying for his children's school and supplies. He hopes soon to be able to make a small payment and reschedule his loan to a more manageable amount.

Ignatius – thank you so much for taking the time to meet me! I hope I can see you soon when I return to Prampram.

    Thank you,

    Taylor

Dear lenders, as per borrower, he mistyped the recipient number when sending the repayment. He has subsequently, put in a reversal request and hope this would be done soon to allow him to send the due payment
