About Me

I am a middle aged man and an accountant by profession. In the lean times we live in I have realised that being an entrepreneur/businessman is the way to go for two reasons: One - Business is an investment that brings in extra income, mostly without demanding your presence and two, it creates job opportunities which is what our country needs. The levels of unemployment are worrying and this has led me to think of ways to help in alleviating the same... I believe business is the way to go.

My Business

I settled on the Cereals Business because of various reasons. For starters, food is a basic need. People will always eat. Here in Kenya, Cereals are staple foods. Most households are rooting for cereals their nutritional value, high fibre, affordability and cereals are also considered natural foods.

The business has good returns with profit margins of up to 75percent depending on the seasons.
Currently am in the process of increasing stock due to the festive seasons and the New year when Cereals sell a lot because most boarding schools have a big cereals demand for their diet.

Loan Proposal

I intend to increase cereal stocks for my shop, specifically
1 bag ( 90kilograms) of Green Grams @ $30
1Bag 25kgs of Biriani rice @ $20

This will make a profit of $20 whichwillbe reinvested in the business.
