About Me

I am called Daniel Kungu and i come from Nairobi, which is the capital city of Kenya. I was born 23 years ago on september 28, 1995. I come from a big family of 3 brothers and 5 sisters. I have been to the Wanja and Kim primary school and also Upper hill secondary school. Currently i am in the Kenya Institute of Management studying for a diploma in sales and marketing. After finishing high school in 2015, i first got employment at The Deacons shop which sells unisex clothes and accessories. Here i work as a sales assistant and its this job that enables me to pay my tuition fees for college. Upon joining college, i noticed that my fellow students like to dress in the latest fashions and since i already know alot about clothes and trends, i decided to open up my own used clothes and shoes shop. I opened up my shop in november of 2016 putting in mind that it was the festive season when people like to shop for clothes. My sisters and brothers are most of the time at the shop and they help me run it when im in class.

My Business

My shop is located in Nairobi town center, Muindi Mbingu street in the shoppers paradise building. It is on the second floor and its stall No. 34B which is next to the Movie Palace. I sell unisex clothes and my fellow students usually make up the bulk of my customers. Weekends and holidays are usually the busiest when people come inside the shopping mall to browse the many shops. I plan to expand the business to include accessories like bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings so as to attract even more customers and retain the existing ones. This in the meantime will also boost the revenue base. And since i work at Deacons, i know where to source for the accessories at the best prices which will in turn drive the profits higher.

Loan Proposal

I would like to add some more inventory to my existing stock because it is christmas season and the sales are good.
