About Me

I am Clarence Ackah, a 27 year old gentleman. I started My primary education at the age of 3 in Takoradi the capital city of the western region. The name of my school was Nazareth Primary and went ahead to complete my junior secondary also in the same school. i actively represented my school in various area of sporting discipline. I am amaze as to how time flies for which reason i can say i am a young man in the tertiary level studying statistics at takoradi Polytechnic. My mom is a caterer and my dad is a civil servant. There use to be a high demand for chairs every Friday to Sunday for various activity in my locality from funerals and party and parties and my moms chairs were being borrowed all the time so it was when i made a trip to spend my long vacation with my auntie in the capital Greater Accra then i realise that rentals was a big business so when i got back home i told my mom that we can make money from the chairs and tables she has for her business , so i took money from her and made posted and dotted it all over stating that i was renting chairs. to my amazement i receive calls wanting to hire the chairs, that how i came to do this business. western region has the largest trading fort in the country later used for the slave trade in Ghana and hos a lot of safe beaches. Economic activity include mining, crop farming , fishing. It has a wonderful water village that serves as restaurant.The western region also is the hometown of the first president of Ghana Dr Kwame Nkrumah and the people are very friendly. One exciting thing when i was growing up was the because come from the coast about 70% of the male child can swim without having to go through a formal swimming lesson . there was always a swimming and acrobatic competition every friday and we look forward for every Friday. I also learn how to cook at a very early age because i was always around when my mom cooked and extended a helping hand after school.my favorate food is fufu and light soup. my hobbies include playing football, swimming and reading.

My Business

I am into the rental business where i rent out chairs and tables.Because Western region shares border with the Ashanti region, Brong Ahafo and the Central region of Ghana and has a lot of tourist attraction, it houses alot of people and there is always an event going on so i make portion of my profit from the various activity that goes in there i.e parties, funerals etc.
I chose this business business primary because i did not have to buy any of these chairs and tables to start. i just had to pick them form my moms staff and i am in business. there is always an occasion going on which demands my services.
My cost for offering my services is about $70 and my revenue is dependent on the number of clients i have a month whcih ranges from $100 to $200. When i make profit from the business i actually use it support my self in paying fees and buying books for my study and reinvest the rest in the business.

This will help me to supply more to my costumers thereby increasing my profit and meeting targets as i have to wait for one function to finish before parking to another function . i expect my profit to increase to averagely $100 to $200 every month.
