About Me

I was born in Alego (Siaya County) in a family of four. I begun my education from karapul primary school where i attain marks of 314 in KCPE, year 2008. In 2009, i joined Siaya township for my secondary education where i got a grade of C plain. Due to lack of collage fees i embarked on farming so as to find a way of upkeep in 2013 from the little pocket money i was left with. I used to plant sukuma wiki in small scale and sell to our neighbors. Through the little i used to save i was able to rent a larger plot of land and buy seedlings so as i can plant sukuma wiki and tomatoes in a large scale. where i come from ladies are not much considered to be hard workers especially things to do with farming but with me i have been able to challenge them so much. Currently i don't have any child but I would like my child to be a chemical engineer,medical officer or a business administrator. A unique hobby i had was swimming after playing golf with my friends.

My Business

For the past three years i have been selling sukuma wiki and tomatoes in the nearby market (Ramba market). As a result of high employees in town who works with county government, they buy my products which are essential spices and also food for them at a cheaper price compared to those of other business people who are retailers. It is less costly and less demanding because i cultivate the plot of land myself and help from my parents. I also use little money to transport my product to the market because i use bicycle for transportation. I sell my sukuma wiki at 0.289 USD per kilogram and tomatoes at 0.7749 USD a kilo. I use the profit to reinvest so as my business can grow. I need to increase the plot and also buy more equipment's to enhance efficiency of farm operation.

Loan Proposal

I am purposing to buy a horse pipe to extend the area of which i can irrigate my tomato and sukuma wiki farm so as my product can be available in the market for both rainy and dry season. The pipe i am expecting is 200 meters long and 5 centimeters of diameter it will cost me around 30.994 USD. I will be able to produce much tomatoes and sukuma wiki that i supply to the market each day. I am also expecting to increase labor because i will not be able to manage the whole plot by myself other than i need to add workers to help me irrigate the land. I will hire three gentlemen each getting 2.894 USD per day a total of 8.6866 USD each day for 14 days it will sum to 121.613 USD. Am expecting to increase my profit by 77.26 USD per month from the current profit of 53.658USD.
