I am the 2nd born child among 7 children, my life as a child was difficult because I had to work in peoples farm to cater for my education as my parents could not afford to cater for my fees, despite all the hardship I work hard in primary school and passed well then joined secondary education and I am now pursuing degree in horticulture at the maseno university.
I started farming business while I was only 8 years and it has helped me cater for my own education expenses, I have been slowly improving my skills and technologies to reduce production cost without affecting quantity and quality of my farm produce. I now manage one acre farm under different types of vegetables and sell them to cater for my tuition fees.
our land is a bit rock and only few places near the river are fertile and arable and I am lucky to coming from these parts.
I am a member of christian union and during my free time ,I always take time to thank my God for the far he has brought me.
I provides leafy vegetables to my clients who includes two schools, a hotel and hospital.Though demand from the households around has been rising,I can not meet it as the demand is too high.
coming from a rocky place only few households practice farming and so the vegetables demand is very high.
my monthly typical costs are $200 for ,seeds, labor , and manure. my monthly income are $400, I use the money to pay for my fees and help my parents and siblings.
I have expanded my farm and the pipes for irrigation that I have can barely serve my farm .Please advance me a loan so that I can buy 200m pipe at cost of $200. The pipe will enable me to irrigate abigger area hence more produce and profits.Thank you
