About Me

My name isMartin Avery humble and a God fearing man, born and grown up in a small village in the hilly side of central Kenya,am married and am blessed to be a father of two beautiful daughters.Icome from a very humble back ground but my parents managed to educate me through primary &secondary school despite many challeges,my family could not afford to educate mi beyond that despite obtaining a good grade in my academics so I started helping my parents with day to day chores which according to my culture was to pluck coffee which is the only relied cash crop in my area village I was the first born so ihad a lot of tasks including assisting our young siblings. After awhile I was exhausted working as casual labourer and ithinked beyond my challenges and decided to try my hand in business but the ideas were many but capital was a headache,I was interested in the beauty industry so I used the small amount I had saved and payed for a course in the beauty industry and was trained for awhile in the evening hours after working for a daily bread. That did not derail my vision to become asuccesful determined
enterpreneur, immediately after my course I used the little I had and borrowed some money from a merry go round group we had formed in our village and started my small barber shop, and that is how I managed to overcome the hardship to achieve an important goal in my life.Am much encouraged by my children's ambitions to study and become professionals in productive fields and then give back to the less fortunate community, my hoby is swimming and ilyke reading motivational books, travelling and making new friends in different cultures.

My Business

My business has improved since ijoined zidisha and am very excited despite few challenges I now manage to make about 1500 ksh this is opproximitly 15us dollars, after deducting expenses am left with 10us dollars, that helps me to raise my kids shoolfees and paying my bills and giving back to the community, the budget for this project is approximately 100,000 thousand kenya shillings (1000 us dollars).with the help of 50 thousands from zidisha lenders iwill add the rest 50 thousand ksh from my savings, hoping Zidisha lenders will help me and achieve my best in the beauty industry, ilook forward to my dreams of starting a beauty college and offer beauty courses for free to those who could not manage to further their studies due to financial problems and I know God will help me achieve my dreams.

Loan Proposal

for now I will invest this funds in my beauty business by buying another barbershop chair,it costs about 900us dollars thats9000ksh,that barber chair will help a lot because it will help my clients by getting quality and faster services with out wasting more tyme queing, moreover I will create ajob apportunity for another person and that will help by serving more clients which will boost my income from1000ksh to about 1800sh per day and thus will enable me making a profit of 1000ksh per day after deducting daily expenses and so am confident of paying back on tyme to my lenders, and with that stride forward I expect a lot of progress in my beauty parlour.May God bless Zidisha team abudantely as u continue changing peoples lives around the world thank u very much.
