About Me

I was born 9th march 1994, from 1999-2006 i did my primary school and from 2007-2010 i did my secondary education. After completing my high school, i really wanted to do fashion and design but that dream almost dead because i didnt know that fashion and design was offered in Zambia and my parent`s finances weren't enough to sponsor me to study abroad. So i decided to get a job, i worked for two years before i discovered that there is a Zambian school that offers fashion and design (Evelyn hone college). In the year 2013 I aplied there and was accepted. Along the way some people droped out such that only the two of us graduated (17th July 2015). I become interest in designing at the age of five, I was able to make clothes for my dolls and i did a lot of drawing. During college, i had no sewing machine so i started sewing clothes using my hands and at times used the school sewing machines, by the time i was able to buy a sewing machine, i had already learnt how to make a lot of outfits. i started my fashion and design business in 2013 in my first year at college, I had a lot of customer such that i managed to participant in a fashion runway show. Zambia is unique is such a way that the people are friendly and they are a lot of up-coming artists so they a lot of potential for fashion and design, its also a tourist attraction. Am good at sketching and make-up.

My Business

Am a fashion designer, I buy fabric, design and make clothes. Clothing is a need for every human being, so clothes are very important and everyone needs clothes. There is a lot of market for fashion designers in the music and movie industry because artists love designer made clothes and at the moment Zambia is growing and so is the creatives industry (models, musician, actors etc). I chose fashion and designing for clothes because i believe that's what i was created to do and am good at it and most importantly i want to clothe the world in quality and peculiar clothing and also donate school informs and clothes for the less privileged children. I spend most of the money on fabric and other materials needed to completed an outfit, I spend about a 40% and make 100% profit. I only buy things that are need under strict budget, I use the income to reinvest in my business, for the magazine project am working on, pay house rentals and my up-keep.
