Thank you for helping him, as he probably did right by you in your earlier life.
Not all fathers did right by their kids in their early life (speaking from experience). Even still, though, if my father needed a roof over his head, he would be welcome to have a room in my house, as long as he never again were to do anything physically abusive, or emotionally abusive, either. I keep my distance because the latter did happen, but at the same time, it isn't right to let anyone starve or not have a roof over their head. I believe that in God's eyes, *nobody* has the right to cause someone else to starve or to be out on the street. If everyone were to help even just one additional person who needs help, just imagine what a much better world this would be. Thank you for being a helping soul.

  Thanks for you your inspirational words , and I'm sorry about your childhood.
  Please he is not suffering form mental illness but rather Chronic Kidney Disease, he is now on dialysis. I'm grateful to his friends and good people here like you helping out.

    Your father is in my prayers, and I'm glad to know that you and his friends are helping him. And shame on the other members of your family for being so cold-hearted. Eventually, though, they will have to answer to God. They harm not only your father, but their own souls, as well. They know not what they do...
