Early marriage is almost a daily ritual in the community I live. I sometimes find it very difficult to understand why most of the parents allow the girl child or sometimes push them into marriages at a very small age at the expense of their education maybe just because of the little money they will receive as bridal price. I decided to go to school and marry only after completing nursing school. I was able to complete second cycle school. But while in the tertiary school pressure from friends and family members. Sometimes they compare me with some girls whom I am older than and are married. I refused and they also stopped paying for my bills so I managed to start my business until today.
I supply home goods such as decoders, second hand TVs, speakers among others. When I left school a friend who lives abroad brought them to me to start selling. They are affordable so people are very much interested. I have the plan of going back to school so I save greater part of my profit towards that.
Over the years I have been selling old types of TV which are gradually getting out of the system. People don't show interest in this type anymore. I want to start selling the LCD type which cost $210. It has a high demand
