About Me

I was born in 1970 in Dakar. I am married, I have 2 wives, 4 children, 3 boys and a girl. I am originally from Casamance, the natural region South of Senegal. I have 4 sisters and 3 brothers and I am renting at Unit #17 of the "Parcelles Assainies" neighborhood with my first wife and her children, and my second wife lives in Kharr Yalla, a suburb close to Dakar. I have studied until middle school. I am trained in auto mechanics. I am currently working in the hospitality business for the ACCOR group. I am a waiter with 11 years of experience.

My Business

I started with 150000FCFA. Now my customers have increased and I can buy at least 600,000 FCFA of merchandise, generating a profit of 200000 FCFA excluding expenses, but over all, I am doing very well. I can make two or three trips in one month and I mostly sell in bulk to big shopkeepers in order to be able to go back and pay my loan as well. With Zidisha's help, I could make my business more fruitful especially because I have already started. All is want is to develop my business with the help of the lenders at Zididsha. I am selling goods from Casamance such as palm oil, dried fish, tomatoes, products derived from the fishing industry.

Loan Proposal

The purpose of the loan I am asking for is to be able to take a trip to my native region of Casamance in order to buy agricultural products and other by products from the fishing industry in order to resell them in Dakar. With this loan, I intend to buy dried fish, palm oil, lemon and other products from Casamance which are very prized by the households in Dakar.
