My name is Fredrick Ouma Amonde. I come from a family of 10 siblings, the last born. My parents are still alive. I live in Dagoretti Centre Nairobi. I am a civil servant, a businessman, and a nutritionist.
I went to school in Siaya County Kagilo primary school for my primary level studies, then proceeded to Horace Ongili secondary school for my O level, then went to Kenyatta University to pursue a diploma in food nutrition and dietetics.
My hobbies include gymnastics and football.
I started my business in Siaya County with an aim of changing the community's old source of energy for cooking and replacing it with clean and pure source energy for cooking, that is liquefied petroleum gas, and reduce the cases of deforestation. I purchase LPG gases at HASHI ENERGY PETROLEUM in Kisumu and my earnings range from ksh 40,000-60,000. Apart from LPG, I also deal with oil lubricants from total Kenya, LPG accessories, burners, grills.
There is high demand for LPG because people are discarding the old ways of energy to cook and using LPG because it's quick and efficient. My customers prefer my business because I bring my stock in time, and ensure there is in time communication when the next stock is coming. I also educate whenever need be in regards to using the LPG cylinders. It's profitable because my goods move fast and I ensure the next stock comes before completion. The risk for my business is that LPG gases are inflammable and therefore caution must be taken at all times.
My source of income to pay the loan will come from my monthly salary and the business itself.
i will use KES 40,000 to add stock,in my second shop which is picking up ,and ensure there is enough stock, the balance which is KES 50,000 i will pay my school fee which i already have admission letter from Mt Kenya university to study diploma in archives and records management .
