About Me

Hello am Charles Kerina from Kenya, Kilifi County. As a child i grew up in an extended family with around 12 of my cousins. We could work at the farm after school so as to get bread on the table. This inspired me to start farming for vegetables to help fed the less privileged in our community.

My Business

I farm vegetables such as tomatoes, spinach, kales, onions and cabbages. With an investment of $ 1000.00 I can make a 40% profit after tax deductions and paying all workers (included agriculture experts). I use 40% of the proceeds to help the needy students from a local school called Majaoni Prinary School. The remaining 60% is ploughed back to the business.

Loan Proposal

I will first increase my farming inputs and by that i mean seeds and fertilizers. Keep some of the money for transportation services. The increased input will ensure larger and better quality produce. While the effective transport will ensured my customers will receive the produce on time for sale knowing pretty clear that some of the farm produce is highly perishable.
