I am Gertrude Joji, born in Nakuru County at Kenlands Estate. My parents still lives at the same estate where I was born. I am a form 4 school leaver and also a business lady in Nakuru. I make and sale African jewelry. I am still single not yet married. I was born in 1994 on November 2nd.
My passion is for business and I am praying and hoping that my small business will pick up quick as I look for more capital because I see there is a lot of demand of African jewelry.
I started my business 6 months ago and I started to make a few jewelries while selling to friends within my home, and later I decided to expand it because I felt it has been liked by so many people. I even get in orders and I deliver in time needed as agreed.
I am so very passionate about my work or business I do, and I want to be one of the best and prominent business owners in Nakuru town.
I started my business 6 months ago and I started to make a few pieces of jewelry while selling to friends within my home, and later I decided to expand it because I felt they have been liked by so many people. When I started my business, I never knew how it was going to help many, but through small business I do.
Now the main challenge I face is my stock is down, especially on getting beads and other threads and materials which I need to boost my business. That's why I decided to join Zidisha to help me fulfill my life's vision and passion.
My total revenue a month is 15,000ksh, which covers the total expenditures. My profit ranges between 6,500ksh and 7,000ksh monthly, which I feel is a nice profit. I believe upon adding more stock I will attract more customers within and without. I am planning to talk to friends to see if I can even import some of my work outside Kenya.
I do not have a specific place that I sell from, but I make them from the house. I do all the bead work from the house, then I distribute to the person who ordered them. The loan I am asking for will help me meet this need and, through my income revenue from my business, I will be able to pay back in due time as needed. I therefore ask for the support of lenders to meet my dream and make it come true.
I am thankful for all the loans (of which this is my third) since you all started to lend me. I am requesting another loan, which will be used to purchase beads, which will cost $120, and also two dozen threads costing $100. Also I will purchase hooks, about 300 piece, which will cost $50, and the rest I will use for advertisement, which will cost $200, inclusive of VAT and license for the county council.
