About Me

My name is Grace Njeri Kanyi. I am twenty five years old, married to my beloved husband Peter Ruiru. We have been blessed with one daughter. I live in Nakuru at a place called Karuri center. I learned from school o St. Francis Primary School, and later passed well with marks for taking me to a St. Georges High School. After high school, though I got an average grade of C+ unfortunately I did not have a chance to go to college. I terminated my education level there for lack of my financial support from my poor parents. So, I decided to become independ in my life. Im a woman of many dreams in my life. As for now, Im a shopkeeper but am hopeful that one day I will keep a wholesale, set up an M-PESA for money transaction. Briefly, I want to become a successful business woman in my rural area. I have faith that I will by the help of zidisha.

My Business

I started operating my shop four years ago from the savings I had saved when I was employed in a whole sale at karunga shopping center which is a half kilometer away from karuri shopping center where my shop is located. At this center my shop is only one operating in here. So, the demand for different products and goods is high due to high numbers of customers coming to my shop. I sell products like sugar, tea leaves, buckets and more items. In short it’s a general shop. In a day, I collect a profit of ksh 1,500. In a week, I would get a profit of ksh 4,800. Through my business, I have been able to buy a plot, and sustain my self financially.Thank you.

Loan Proposal

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the lenders who contributed to the funding of my first loan. It really boosted the growth of my grocery. It was a great pleasure for me therefore, am hereby, kindly, humbly requesting for a second loan of 300 USD.
I would like to use this loan for the inventory of maize flour, wheat flour, sugar, cooking fats, bar soaps for m grocery. The restock of these products for my grocery will be of great importance to me and my customers. It will help in maintenance of my customers as they will find all type of goods at my grocery.
Am looking forward to be funded by Zidisha lenders for me to achieve the above goals.
