My Business

after working in employment for a long time i decided to start my business in Jan 2014

I started by working from my house but after 5 months I got a workshop which i pay a rent of ksh 4500.
the location of my workshop is at Johanna center 3rd floor room 303. in Thika town along Kwame Nkrumah street opposite central business stalls.
I do all electronics repair from household items to office.
generally the revenue has been between Ksh 30000 and 50000per month and rent 15000/- per month
i use the profits to feed and take care of my family that is my wife and son.
more importantly to invest in more electronics.

Loan Proposal

If i get this loan am going to buy 3 hot air machines which will cost$70 each and will help me to repair an electrical item with an on board surface mount components. and sell the rest to the electricians around since it is a common gadget that is in demand with electricians.
I will buy ironing 5 guns which will cost @ $20 each for use and selling.
this two items will i increase the profit by $30 per week and will make me increase my stock and spear part stock.
am hoping you will grant me the loan

Please note that the public Discussion pages in borrower accounts
are *not* an alternative way to reach the Zidisha Team Staff.

The public Discussion pages in borrower accounts are for communications between lenders and borrowers about their businesses and their lives in general. (These pages also are for VMs to post comments for the borrower and/or for the borrower's lenders.)

    www.zidisha.org/faq
Please remember what it states in the FAQs:
"Whom should I contact with questions or concerns?"
"You may contact the Volunteer Mentor whose phone number is displayed in your Zidisha account. You may also post questions and comments in our Member Forum to request a response from the Zidisha community. IF YOU NEED DIRECT ASSISTANCE FROM ZIDISHA STAFF, YOU MAY USE THE HELP PAGE OF YOUR ACCOUNT TO SEND US A MESSAGE." [emphasis added]

The HELP link in your account is the way to reach the Staff, as they rarely ever visit borrower Discussion pages. (Replies in the Forum also are rare, except from other community members--borrowers and lenders--but borrowers and lenders cannot help with anything administrative.)

Please also keep in mind that there currently are only two people on the Staff (www.zidisha.org/team). So, after sending a private inquiry to them via the HELP link, borrowers have to remain patient and just have to keep checking their account to find out when their issue has been resolved.

We lenders have a HELP link in our accounts, too. Just like borrowers, we have to be patient to wait for replies from the Zidisha Staff, as well.

  • Earnest    Oct 9, 2015

    Hello Lenders,
I am Vincent's mentor. I have contacted him about the delayed payment and has informed me the amount he was repaying was too high. He was not aware about rescheduling his repayment. I have explained to him how he can go about it and adjust his loan repayment from KES 2900 to a lower amount which he can manage more easily.
He has promised to adjust and make a payment immediately.
    Thank zidisha team
