About Me

My names are Mercy Chebet. I am a permanent resident of Chepkosa village, in Bomet. I am married and we are blessed with three children. I completed my secondary education in 2013. After looking for a job in vain, I decided to venture into business of selling new and second hand clothes. Later as the business grew I introduced shoe wares. The proceed income from my business is put back to the business and the rest is used to support the daily expenses of my house hold.

My Business

My business deals with the new and second hand clothes, shoes wares. There is demand for these goods especially the second hand clothes due to the government regulation of the cotton industry. The demand is also due to my competitive price to the customers. Customers prefer my business because of the ideal strategic location of the business. I am polite and courteous ant that is the reason customers prefer my business. The business is profitable because I am able to add stocks and I can see it grow each and every month and now especially after joining ZIDISHA org. My monthly cost of sales is > Kshs 40,000.00. Total Monthly sells is > Kshs 80,000.00
Transport cost and other expenses: Kshs 10,000.000, Rent Kshs 2000.00
Total expenses Kshs 12,000.00.
My monthly net profit > Kshs 28,000.00

Loan Proposal

Dear Zidisha lenders,
I am requesting for a loan of Kshs. 9,037 ($102.6) to help me increase the stock of my business of clothes and shoes selling. Currently the business earns me a net profit of $318. If I increase the stock by the applied loan of $102.6, I expect to earn an extra $ 40 hence increasing my current net of $318 to $358.

I plan to buy extra quantity of secondhand clothes at a cost of $60, an extra quantity of shoes at a cost of $50. With this extra quantity, I will be able to earn the extra $40 and this will make me be in a stable and a better position to grow my business as well as be able to feed my family without compromising the business.

Thank you all in advance.
