About Me

Am Edward Mwanje, a resident of Naivasha. I went to kilimani primary school and joined Maimahiu secondary school. i Pursued agriculture back in high school which equipped me to become a farmer. Back in 2014 i was involved in a fatal accident that got me physically impaired and converted my walking on a wheelchair. I now use a wheelchair to carry out all my activities.
I am a father of three and also a husband. I have to work hard despite the disability to take care of my family and also meet all their basic needs. I do farming that is i rear chicken and keep cattle. I sell milk to people living around our area and also take milk to the Kenya Cooperative Creameries. This farming has greatly help me educate my children for example through the farm, i have been able to take my first born to the university, my second born is in four two and the last born is in class three.
My kid at the university is pursuing Education he wants to be a lecturer in the near future, the other two also aspires to be a doctor and a teacher respectively.

My Business

I sell chicken to the locals on local arrangement, i also take the same chicken to hotels, farmers, restaurants and schools on orders. I sale roughly 30 chicken every day at a cost of 5 Us dollar per chicken. On a good sale, i can make 150 Us dollars per day. This cash has made me grow my farm, take care of my family and also expand my business. chicken is on demand because it is used as food, people buy chicken for meat since it is a source of protein. others buy the chicken for raring in their farms. i chose farming because it is my passion. i love agriculture and i feel my heart is in it. i performed very well in agriculture too. i save the cash that i earn daily so that at the end of the month i can be able to pay house rent, school fees, buy basic household items and buy chicken feed and other machinery items needed to be repaired. any extra cash that i get is put in the savings account for future expansion of my business.

Loan Proposal

given 150Us dollars, i will add my saving of 350 Us dollars totaling to 500Us dollars. this will enable me to buy a new motorbike that will help me supply the milk and the chicken to my customers. the motorbike will increase my geographical area of supply of my products thus it will increase my daily income. this will also create an employment opportunity to one more person in my society because i need a person to deliver my products to my clients using the motorbike because i cannot ride it in my condition. i am also aspiring to save more and buy more motorbikes in the near future which will create more employment. with the help of a new motorbike, i will be able to make double the previous sells, that is i will generate 300Us dollars in a day. this will enable me to repay my loan and to save much more. it will also enable me to improve my financial status.
