I grew up in a humble background and had to walk long distances barefoot to school ,my parents were peasant farmers but they struggled to take us to school ,however my dreams of becoming a nurse come to an abrupt end after my dad passed away after short illness. My mother could no longer afford school fees for me and my four sibling and so I had to drop out of school. I worked a s a house help ,fo a year and then went back to school where I completed my secondary education and joined university of Nairobi.
Raising money for my basic needs while at school become an uphill task and thats is when I decided to use a loan from my friend to start a saloon ,at first I used to run the business from my hostel but when the client number expanded I decided to rent a room near our hostels and I am happy ,the business enables me to take care of my basics.
I love traveling, nature walks and help the less advantage in the society, I spend most of my Sundays in orphanages with orphan kids ,to give the hope and show them motherly love.
My small saloon business provides hair dressing, plating, manicure and pedicure to my esteemed clients who are mainly students. The strategic location of the business enables me to get lots of clients, I have one employee who helps me when I am in class.
I choose these business because it was easy to start and need small capital.
my monthly costs are $150 for rent ,electricity and salaries and my profits are $300 per month.
I use the money to support my aging mother , pay for my basics, support orphans and my siblings.
Thank you so much for reading. God bless you
I am pleased to let you know that the number of my customers have grown in the past 3 months.I attribute these to improved equipment and quality services .Without your support these could not have been possible. please advance me another loan so that I can buy a second blow drier to help work on clients faster.
