Opong Mary is my name from Ghana in the west Africa, I am married with kids and a christian by faith. My parents are farmers so they were using my siblings and I for their farming so I couldn't further my education after JHS and it hindered my dream of becoming a midwife. After I got married my husband gave me some money to start my own business.
I sell plantain and cassava at the market and it helps me get extra income in support of my husband to cater for our family. It also help people in my community get cassava and plaintain to buy since they like to eat "Fufu" frequently.
I will buy cassava and plantain for resale with the loan and it will help me get some money in supporting my family and also help buyers get cassava and plantain for their daily meals anytime they want.
Since Fufu is the traditional dish in my community, they buy cassava and plantain day in day out so it is not easy for me to run at loss but in case of any emergency I will repay with income from my other business.
