About Me

I am Pastor Mark Chacha Sabian , I was born in 1958 in the beautiful Island of Rusinga in Lake Victoria, Kenya. I was the 8th born in a family of 9. My father was a fisherman and my mother a peasant farmer.

I grew up in a very loving environment though my parents had a very low income. I did not proceed with my education to high school due to lack of funds to support my education. After dropping from school, I got married in 1986 and God has blessed our marriage with six children of which 3 are surviving.

I am involved in mixed farming and tree nursery for commercial purposes. I grow lots of fruits like grafted mangoes, paw paw, watermellon and oranges. My farm is organic and I do grow food crops like maize, sourghum and tomatoes.

My Business

From my tree nursery i sell upto 400 trees on average per day which bring a capital of 5US$ daily. The tree nursery is doing very well. I have integrated food crops in the farm and the high yield maize crops serves as food for my family. I have many customers because i have the best of what they need because I put alot of effort in my work , moreso sell to them indigenous trees which are seldomly found currently but to me easy to find because of my nearness to a hill and forest . I drwa water for watering the farm from the Lake Victoria using a foot pump. Repaying the loan will be easy for me because in the same piece of land i grow maize of my own while during dry season we harvest dry them and sell.

Loan Proposal

I am seeking a loan of KES 38,018 that will enable me to buy assorted improved seedlings and gunny bags for making compost heaps for use in the organic food farm.
-KES 10,000 will be used to buy assorted seedlings.
-KES 12,000 will be used to buy cotton bags for making tree seedlings
-KES 10,000 will be used to buy horse pipes for watering the plants.
-KES 6,000 to hire an additional labourer
