About Me

SIAW is a family name that I adopted. My family have lived in the mosque environment ever since I was born. In fact we are not Moslems .Majority of my siblings are hair dressers who trained me whilst I was schooling. I became so interested and decided not to continue any further course. Throughout my training to become a full time hair dresser, I was saving some few CEDI's towards opening my own shop out of the money I received from the shop. After Senior High School, I had my passes alright but then my attention was not on schooling. I opened my shop and started buying few thing that will help me weave, style and dress hair. I'm now married with two boys who are currently in school.

My Business

I dress hair, weave and sell creams.I sell human hair, creams and attached to that my main work is to dress hair and weave with different styles. As stated earlier on, I had no interest in furthering my formal Education. I thought that I could be well of if I follow where my interest is. I enjoy hair dressing so much. Sometimes I look at my customers who have come to do different hair styles I become so happy in the sense that I like to converse with people. I am most grateful to my sisters who trained me to achieve what I wanted to be in future. My earnings have been so good. Sometimes I take home around Ghs 150 as profit, that is after deducting the sales of creams, human hair and other few products I have. I manage my profit very well. It is structured such that part goes into buying things that my customers will need for their hair styles such as human hair, hair creams and hair spray. My children's school fees are all borne by the same profit.

Loan Proposal

I want to buy one hand dryer $16,I also need human hair about sixty pieces which will be around $12. I will also need weave on that will cost around $12( thirty pieces of that) I will seriously need the hand dryer to aid me in doing pony styres for my customers. Nowadays, most people come to my shop for pony styles. Weaving of hair is also preferred by most of my customers so buying this will increase my customer base. I will buy five talons of shampoo $10. Shampoo will be used to wash my customer's hair before any style could be adopted. The above listed will keep my saloon in good shape and I'm sure to reap some profits out of these.
