About Me

I started a phone and laptop repair business while still pursuing a diploma in Computer information technology at the Jomo kenyatta university of Agriculture and technology due to the passion i have for technology devices. I furthered my skills by joining a technical college, Fourth Dimension college where i perfected my skills on the same. The reason why i decided to venture in business is because i wanted to earn an income in a society where securing a job is challenging.

My Business

My business offers services in laptops, tablets and smartphone repairs and upgrade. i replace broken screens and do software upgrades for the devices. my services are in demand due to the fast changes in technology where such devices are very delicate and break easily and software for the same keep changing which requires constant upgrading. i ventured into this business because of my passion and also because its the career choice i took in college. the main expenses include purchase of parts like touchscreens, internet and rent. the revenue from my services is relatively good mainly from the charges and also selling computer and phone accessories. i use the returns from the business to expand my business, pay my bills, like rent and am saving to go back to the university and take a degree in IT.
I will use the loan to acquire a phone flashing and unlocking equipment that costs approximately Kshs.10,000 and that can support the latest smartphones and tablets

Loan Proposal

I am trying to raise capital to purchase laptop accessories stock (chargers and batteries). After successfully raising my first loan here in zidisha , I was able to purchase the phone flashing device and my business income has increased. I took a short course in laptop repairs and currently I have clients who have requested me to find them genuine chargers and batteries for their laptops, (5 charger orders and 7 battery orders). I have been able to find a dealer who sells all types of laptop accessories at wholesale prices for purchases of at least 10 pieces of each item type.
I will use the loan funds plus my savings to purchase 10 pieces of batteries that will cost me US$164.84 and will resell each at US$30.77 making a total of at least US$307.69. The same batteries retail at approximately US$32.97 in the Kenyan markets and thus our prices shall be very competitive. I will also purchase a stock of 20 pieces of laptop charges that shall cost me US$131.87 and resell each at a price of US$13.19 making a total of US$263.74. The same type of chargers retail at US$16.48 hence my prices being fair.
I will be able to make the loan repayments comfortably because my ability to pay is not only tied to the new stock but also on my current business of phone and laptop repairs. I shall use the extra income generated from the sale of the new stock to continue expanding my business for I project with the new business line my income shall grow by over 50%.
