Mending and selling clothing on campus to pay for my tuition

About Me

My name is Abigail Asare, a native of Dompoase in the Ashanti region of Ghana. I am 23 years of age and was born to Mr and Mrs Asare. I attended primary school at Bremang L/A school where I had certificate in basic education before moving on to further my education at Okomfo Anokye senior high school. Life was a little tough for me at childhood days because my parents hail from a typical village and we the children had to move to the city to get better education. I therefore mostly catered for myself and younger siblings. I remember after completing Junior high school, I had to sell onion before I could get money to buy basic items and provisions for senior high school. From senior high school, proceeded to midwifery school where currently I am in my final year. I moved into the business of selling ladies wear at school in order to get something to cater for myself in school.

My Business

I am into the business of selling ladies and gents wear but most predominantly, ladies wear. I pick the clothes from retailers and gives them to a tailor to make the neccessory alterations on them and then sell them at an affordable price to customers. The customers I mainly deal with are students and on few occassions lecturers. It is what has kept me up so far in school. Currently, I do not have any shop to display my clothes and therefore customers would have to contact me personally. It is my ultimate dream to get a shop and expand the business to meet the demands of customers.

Loan Proposal

I wish to apply for this loan to buy addtional clothes to sell to customers. I usually pick up the clothes at a cost of 10 cedis and after alterations and other cost sell them at about 30 cedis. I usually make a profit of about 10 cedis on each clothe sold. I promise to abide by all rules and regulations governing this noble. Thank you.
