I am Ankamah Emmanuel and my parents are Mr. & Mrs. Ankamah Oduro . We all live in Donfete which is located at Berekum. I began my elementary school at Berekum AKAB school complex and furthered to Kumasi Prempeh College.
After completing that, life wasn't easy for me for the reason that I stayed in Kumasi with a brother of mine who was then a plantain farmer to learn farming practically.
Today, I among the big young farmers in this locality. Maize and plantains are the crops I mostly grow. My hobby is reading. Thank you!
My business is one that grows plantains and maize. In the beginning, I was able to raise 32 bags of maize half a year. I am excited in this business because many are the incentives which include the good profits and the security in agriculture. I have a contract with some schools' headmasters, some markets' women who always come for goods during harvesting. Currently, I have just harvested about 6 acres of maize of which I have regrown another on the same land. Having sat down to analyze things,I have to employ a potential youth to help me in the filed. I am seeking a way forward to add more acres to the farm size so as to serve my country. Thank you.
My self and my family can't express our gratitude and joy that the team of this organization and the generous lenders always put in our heart. I am now transformed with the help of this wonderful organization.
The previous loan I took out was used to expand my farm size from 6 acres to 8acres. If this loan is given, I will increase my farm size to about 20 acres. I will also buy: about 30 bags of fertilizers which may cost $300 agrochemicals like weedicides and pesticides of about 35 boxes each (will be of much help) which may also cost about $350. Again, 15 spraying machines will be needed which may cost about $200 , $350 will be used to buy a land of 35 acres to grow cocoa and will finally used about $200 to buy a motorcycle for easy transportation of goods from the farm into the market which in total may cost about $1500.Thank you!!
