About Me

I am a thirty four year old lady married with two children.I was born in shitochi village in shinyalu constituency in kakamega county.I went to shitochi primary school, lirhanda girls high school for my o level and latter to kenya institute of wildlife for a diploma in tourism.I am married in busidibu b village, a lungoli sub-location,busibwabo location, matayos division, busia county.I have worked with a number of non-government organisations on contract but unfortunately my contracts kept on ending. This made me to consult my spouse with whom I greed to to start a poultry project. The project has been doing well but the only challenge has been finding more funds to expand it.Later afriend told me about zidisha.I really appreciate being one of you.

My Business

I started this project in 2012 may with 120dollars, with which I bought 100 one day old chicks and some feeds. The project has since grown and at the moment I have 125 birds. In a month I raise about 300dollars my expenses in a month run upto 120 dollars. Most expenditure goes to buying feeds. The income helps in sustaining my family as well as paying for their school fees. The project has really helped the community since I sell to them fresh eggs without travelling for long to find the same.I also sell fertilised eggs to my villagers who can't afford to raise money for a hundred chicks from ken-chick.With your loans iam now looking forward to expand it and forget about moving up and looking for jobs that at the moment I am not sure of.

Loan Proposal

I am requesting for 181 dollars loan to buy poultry feeds. with your previous loans,my project has faired on well .the number of hens has increased to a bout 80 and at the same time I purchased 100 chicks. one sack of 50 kilograms goes for about 2.5 dollars and this means I will be able to purchase 7 bags. Lenders funding my project is like employing me. Kindly fund my project.
