About Me

Am Patricia Dankwa, 25 years of age a good entrepreneur and a strong business advocate. I am the only child of my mother who from the very moment she gave birth to me has been a single parent. My father on the other hand got married to another woman and they have been living together ever since. They have given birth to 7 children. Since my mother and father were not able to stay together, my mother has been the only one who has been taking care of me. My early days at school was not all that difficult and my mother was able to take care of me. I entered into senior high school in 2009 and life was not easy since. Paying for my school fees was not an easy task and I usually had to go seeking help from family and friends before I was able to settle my debt. I had great favor in that, I received a scholarship which eased me of the burden of paying any school fees. I completed senior high school in 2012. I took up the mantle of not wanting to go round begging for help again. I was employed into a business where we sold computers and accessories. It is here that I move into entrepreneurship. With the little salary that I was receiving, I bought clothes and shoes and sold them around. With this, I was able to raise some money with which I used to pay my admission fees in the nurses training college. I expect to complete nurses training this year.

My Business

I do buying and selling of ladies and gents wear such as shoes and sandals. I started doing this business back after completion of senior high school. With this, the target group was my co workers, people and customers around my job site and people around where I stayed. Currently, I sell to my colleagues back in school. I school at Ankaful nurses training school in cape coast which is a psychiatric training institution. I go to pick up the goods from Kumasi and sell at school. I usually buy the sandals at 15GHC and sell around 35GHC . This means that I earn a profit of about 20GHC. I also usually pick the shoes around 25GHC and sell around 40GHC. Although currently I do not have a shop to display some of the items I sell, I hope in future I will do well to get one. I have this long term dream of seeing my business grow. With this I will able to employ more hands and contribute my quota of reducing the rate of unemployment in my country. With this, I will also be able to meet up all the needs of my mother and I since I am the only child.

Loan Proposal

I would like to request a loan and invest into my business. This loan would be used to buy new pairs of shoes and sandals to sell. The interest and the demands of customers of the items I sell has greatly increased. On the contrary, I have been struggling with funds recently to buy new items and sell. This is because there were additional fees to pay back in school this semester and that made my capital reduce. I was therefore very happy when a friend introduced me to this great firm. I wish to pick up about ten pairs of sandals and ten pairs of shoes. This will cost me around 400GHC. I believe this loan will be of great impact if granted. Counting on you lenders to help me out. Thank you.

I received an amount of 1593 GHS. I will use this money to buy some Ghana made sandals and use it to stock my temporally made wooden structure that serves to display the goods I sell. Once again I thank the lenders for this great honour they have done me.

I thank the lenders so much for the previous loan they offered me. With the loan, I was able to buy some few sandals that I sold. This gave me some capital and more importantly widened my business knowledge. I therefore made a temporal wooden skeleton structure that I display some few sandals. This gave me the opportunity of displaying to people who did not know the business I was into. Once again I really thank you.
