About Me

My name is Samantha, and I was born in Kitui County of Eastern Kenya. I am the first born in a family of six members. My father is a policeman working for Kenya Police Service and my mother is a farmer.

I went to primary school and later joined secondary school for my high school education. I then got a clerical job for a company dealing with food processing.

I later relocated to Mombasa where I got a job dealing with music production. I worked there for two years and then decided to leave and started my own business.

I am a hardworking person and a go-getter who believes in accomplishing what I set out to do.

My Business

After working in the music production business for two years, I felt that I had gained enough experience and decided to open my own business, which I have been running for the last two years.

I have overcome the initial challenges and I am now well-rooted in this field. My work mainly deals with mass production of CDs and DVDs for various local artists and selling the same. The business has a lot of competition, but I am getting a fair share of of the market. I aspire to take my business to the next level and I would like to take advantage of this opening through Zidisha to realize this dream.

Loan Proposal

I am delighted that I finally managed to repay my loan fully. I used this money to purchase a second hand computer (PC) which made a big difference in my work. This was my first loan for my business since getting a loan from local financial institutions is extremely difficult.
I have now changed the way I do business since with this credit line, I am now able to acquire items that would have taken much longer to get. With your kind support, I would like to stock my shop with x-mas music which does very well during this festive season. I would also like to store x-mas decorations like artificial trees, balloons, confetti, etc.

The breakdown of my budget is as shown below-
Christmas music in form of DVD ad CD audio $180
Christmas decorations $120
I anticipate good sales during this period and I would like to take full advantage of this.
Please give me an early Christmas present by funding this project.
