Evans Kojo Forson is my name. l am 39 years old. l am from Kumasi. I am living in Accra. l have children. My oldest one attends university. The second is in high school and the last is in primary school. l have completed high school and had my certificate. l trained as a driver. My wife also has a business of selling cold drinks and food. l sell old and new cloth. l set up this business when l did not get a car to drive as a taxi driver. My older daughter wants to be a computer engineer, the second one said she will become nurse and the last born wants to be a businessman. My hobbies are reading books, traveling and watching football.
l used to work as a taxi driver. Later, it became very hard for me to get a car to drive. Showing my entrepreneurial side, l now work for myself running a convenience shop. l sell used cloth and new cloth at Kantamanto, Accra. I have been doing this business for the past 8 years. l also have public payphones and sell airtime (phone credit), providing a useful service to many other local business owners. l have now added a mobile money business. The name of my business is called Save Save Ventures Mobile Money Agent. This business needs more money and the demand is very high in my community.
ln order to be able to serve more people in my community, l ask lenders to help me with a loan to expand and employ more youths, especially young women. l earn an income of around GHS 800 ($200) a month and, when business is good, l earn more. l use my profits to take care of my wife, reinvest into my business, and pay for my child's university education. l will repay my loan from my earnings.
Now, l have added a mobile money business to my current business. l will add my second loan to my capital. The loan will provide better service to my customers. With this, l will have enough profit and also help those who travel long distance to access financial services. Mobile Money business is a good venture in Africa and l will repay the loan from my earnings. Zidisha microfinance and lenders, thank you in advanced for supporting my projects.
