My name Philomena Asmah. 27 years of age. I stay and do my business at Prestea in the western region of Ghana. I completed my tertiary education at University of Cape coast distance education. Straight away I established my Susu business with my accounting background. The Susu business is basically informal banking in the rural areas. Susu business has the name AFC INVESTMENTS located on Osagyefo avenue. The mission is to bridge the gap between the bank and the unbanked in the society and to discourage the saving of money under pillows and carpets. Suddenly a friend introduced me to zidisha I believe will help me achieve my goal of transforming my Susu business into a saving and loans banks with God being my helper.
AFC investments is a Susu enterprise with the sole aim of serving as a platform to help people save for their business and also empowering them through skill development trainings with partnership of NGOs. We have mobiliser's who go round daily to take people money as Susu and saving. They are in turn empowered by taking them through skills which then translate in multiple source of income. We have trained 100 people so far. With the help of zidisha.org we aim to impact more people in the society.
This loan will be use to print more Susu cards and printing of forms for new customers.
Will be able to pay with the commissions from running the business.
