About Me

My name is Patience and a young Ghanaian lady. i am a high school graduate but currently a serious business in the making. Mr and Mrs Donkoh are my parents and for that matter i am called Patience Donkoh. i like smiling a lot even from childhood days. After high school, life was difficult at home and instead of going to the tertiary level to continue with the financial accounting that i learned at the high school level, i decided to save my parents the headache of spending too much of monies they did not have. they were going to be stranded on welfare .
so i decided to put the little business management i had learn in school into practice by starting a small provision shop.
By the grace of God, its been three years now and i am improving year by year such that i even have a computer i use to keep my accounts and take stock.
i live in the central region of Ghana, the nations first capital was cape coast before taking to accra so we have a lot of rich cultural history coupled with the land marks and the forts and castles that was built to regulate european activities in the then Gold coast.
i read a lot of personal development and financial books, i love the author of rich dad, poor dad and Anthony Robinson of Awaken the giant within which my volunteer mentor recomended to me some months ago when he came to tell me about Zidisha.
i believe in integrity and hard work and i will not give my words out to anyone if i know that i can not keep it. people say i am strict but i love to be at the side of what is acceptable. I am a Christian too.

My Business

i have a small shop that deals in provisions .like milk, bread, sugar, coffee, variety of biscuites, butter, washing and bathing soap, some soft drinks and what we called as pure water locally. Is about food and people eat every day and that is the trend. it will never stop. these goods are in high demand in my locality.
i choose this kind of business because the capital to begin was not much and at that time too demand was so high which remain the case even till today.
intems of profit and cost analysis, it is highly profitable especially the water business. it moves just like its name.
i do save part of my profit, family is also everything to me so i take care of my old parents with a portion and i use the rest to take care of my self.

Loan Proposal

If my loan application is fully funded, below is the cost breakdown of the inventory that I will purchase with the entire $190

Nescafe ........................................$15
Sugar..............................................$30
Biscuits..........................................$45
Pure and sachet water............$30
Cooking spices............................$10
Two bags of rice..........................$30
Candies of all types...................$10
soft drinks like coke....................$20

So this will all add up to $190 and I will be making a profit jump of around some 40% as a result of this new inventory. I will give my business a better positioning, as customers can be assured that they will get most of these things from my shop on a daily basis. Then it will also help me to learn more in business as i work to make a living for myself and with these projections, i am confident that i can maintain a 100% on time repayment this time too.
thank you....
