About Me

My name is Zipporah Rono. I am 26 years old, married and blessed with two children. I am the third born in a family of four. I reside with my family at Chepkosa village in Bomet County.
In order to support the low income, I started one year ago a cereal shop at Kapkwen shopping centre which has become a big success to me and my family so far.
My hobbies are reading, listening to music and adventure.

My Business

I have a cereal shop at Kapkwen shopping centre about 3 kilometres from Bomet town. I sell cereals such as: maize, wheat, rice, millet and a few legumes such as dried beans. I source most of these products from Western Kenya and I normally make a margin of about 40% profit. My main customers are local residents and hotels within the shopping centre.
The business is good, so I would like to expand by adding stock.

Loan Proposal

I intent to buy 9.5 bags of 90 kg Green grams; 10 bags of 90kg beans and 8 bags of 90kg pishori rice at a price of $174.3, $220 and $168 respectively to an existing stock as follows:
 90 kg bags of green grams costs $18.33 per bag. 9.5 bags at $18.33 = $ 174.3
 90 kg bags of beans costs $22 per bag. 10 bags at $22 = $220
 90 kg bags of pishori rice costs $21 per bag. 8 bags at $21 = $168
TOTAL= $562
This is a result of having attracted more customers to my shop as a result of good and quality of my products. Due to my experience, I have learned that quality is an important factor in business and that is why I am strict in this factor. Relating well with customers is also another factor that I don’t underrate; I am also faithful to both my suppliers and those I sell to them.
This addition will give me an additional total profit of between $150- $200 when all is sold. If the business is good, I can be supplied with these goods of up to three times a month. This is a good additional profit to my business. I will ensure prompt repayment of the loan when funded. I hope and believe that you will find in your heart to consider supporting me again for my better tomorrow.
Thanks.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
Sincerely Zipporah Rono.

    Again, Zipporah made some late payments, but she has always paid everything back.
