About Me

Asaabea Oforiwaa Linda is my name and my parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ofori. I am 25 years old and come from Dunkwa in the central region of Ghana. I had my basic education at Roman Catholic primary and junior high, respectively, all at Dunkwa. I continued at Dunkwa Secondary Technical School. People call it D Sec Tech for short. I had formal education by the assistance of my uncle. I used to carry load after school, people call it porter, because my parents believed that the right place for the girl is in the kitchen. I have two brothers and two sisters from same parents.

My Business

With the help of my uncle, I have gained admission into the University of Cape Coast in the central region of Ghana. I want to became an accountant in the future to prove to my parents and all those who believe that the right place for the girl child is in the kitchen is wrong. Unfortunately, my elder two sisters have not had any formal education because of the perception of some people including my parents.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders thank you once again for what you have done for me during my first year at the University. I am now in second year, and by the university policy only first years and sports men and women are provided with the limited accommodations on campus. All other students have to arrange for their accommodation, which is a bit higher than what the university provides. Please, since I cannot pay for the whole year's fee I have negotiated to pay in installments.

The amount for the academic year is GHS 1,800 (USD $407). I believe my humility will meet your satisfaction and assist me. Moreover, my mum is a seamstress and I learnt it as far back as junior high, so during weekends I sew for income.
