About Me

My name is Dancan mong'are, I was raised in a family of 5 brothers where I am the second born, my father is a self employed in a lumbering industry while my Mom is a small scale farmer. I decided to start my computer service business so that I can support myself in my education and other personal emoluments . Currently I am pursuing my degree program in purchasing and supply management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Nakuru CBD campus. My entire business helps me to relieve my parents from the strains of catering my studies and that of my brother's who are also at college "Kisumu polytechnic" . From my business I am able to pay my rent, bills and it also helped me buy myself a laptop which I use to do my research and assignment at school.

My Business

My business is a computer service program that deals with type setting, photo printing, internet services and computer software repairs. The goods I sell in my business include: printing papers, envelops, pens and pencils. My customers prefer my services since they are served very fast and get the goods at the lowest prices compared with the nearby competitors and this attracts many customers to my business, which means more profits. In a month it costs me in maintaining and replacement of printer parts including ink cartridges, purchase of more stock such as printing papers and other stationery, but also it earns me sales amounting to not less than ksh.25,000, giving me an average profit of kshs. 10,000 to kshs.18,000

Loan Proposal

Meeting the high number of increasing customers with the introduction of boda boda business in East Africa which has led to development of the economy plus creating millions of jobs to the youths mostly in Kenya since Boda boda saves time and they can penetrate so many areas whereby vehicles cannot manage easily. Within a short time i have been in this business l have been able to learn the rules of the game and that's why am here today making another milestone loan proposal of two motorbike to add to my current totaling to five.
With the purchase of the two new motorbikes i will be able to create employment for two more youths since i believe in creating employment than seeking one and also my day to day earnings will increase from $10 to $17 . Hence I will be able to repay my loan effectively and clear within a record of 6 months only.

Thank you zidisha lenders for your continuous generosity to lend and develop small scale entrepreneurs in our less developed countries

Currently have graduated with a degree in purchasing and supply management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Nakuru CBD campus my entire business helped me to relief my parents from the strains of catering for my studies ,personal study expenses and that of my brother's were also at college "Kisumu polytechnic" . from my business am able to pay my Rent bills and also helped me to buy myself a laptop which i used to do my research and assignment at school. it also helps me in supporting my siblings with their school feels since as for now my dad is jobless and their yields from small scale farming does not help enough.

My Business

my business was offering computer cyber services that included printing, photo printing ,photocopying, scanning, binding and laminating. Then i was introduced to zidisha organization which enabled me to purchase improved machines that helped me run my business smoothly . But after my Graduation in November 2016 from JKUAT (Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology) my business earnings became unstable and started to fall . Thats when I saw an opportunity in Bodaboda which is transporting peopleand goods within Nakuru town using a motorbike. I decided and sold out all my business equipments and bought 2 brand new motorbikes and traded in the one i used to deliver goods and services to my cyber customers for the 3rd new one. Now i own 3 motorbikes whereby i operate one and lend the other 2 to people who offer me $3 a day. My business is unique in that my customer always trust me for delivering their goods ,believe in me for safety riding and prefer me because i respond to their phone calls almost immediately or giving them a genuine reason to wait for a few minutes in which they do.
With my motorbike I make atleast $5 to $10 a day earning me atleast $55 aweek and an additional $38 from the other two making upto $80 a week less all the expense. I do service my motorbikes twice a month for the better performance and durability guarantee which costs me fixed $27 and rarely change of tubes that i consider emergencies. I love my business since it enables me to pay all my bills ,rent, repaying my loan evenly without much strain and still safe upto $140 a month. Am so grad to be a benefited member of zidisha, thanks to zidisha Team for changing my Life.

Am now happy that with zidisha helping me expand my business . it has also enabled me support my young brothers with paying their school fees and thus reducing the strain of my parents they have been going through our well being.
