About Me

My name is Isaac Ooko, I am certified fabricator and welder from Busia polytechnic . I schooled in Busia township primary school and went to Busia Secondary school for o-level .I am the third born in my family of 6 six. my dad is a farmer and my mum is a house wife.
After training as a welder and fabricator at Busia polytechnic, i appilied for government sponsored uwezo fund loan last year . I managed to get $300 ,that i used to pay for welding machine. I got a small room in town and started working. I had no money for materials and one week down the line no client had stepped in my shop. I knew I had bills to pay and loan to clear. I started walking into construction sites and asking for jobs. A break through come when my former primary school gave me a job to repair broken windows and chairs . I got $200 out of it . I was so happy. I paid half the loan and rent . From there things have not been bad and the business is slowly expanding.
I am a soccer fun and like watching English premier league during my free time.

My Business

I make metallic windows, gates, and doors for my clients. I always ensure I work within the required time frame and provide good quality work.
Busia county is growing at fast pace and people are constructing houses, hotels and schools always. All these requires doors ,windows and gates ,I am committed to be the most preferred supplier of these products in the next 2 years .
When I was young ,i wanted to be an engineer ,I loved metal works and I am happy I am doing it for a living.
In a month I spend $650 to pay rent and power. my monthly revenues range is $800-$1000. I use my profits to pay university fees for my sibling, supporting my aging parents and business expansion.
