I am Jonathan Mweene born in 1998 in Zambia.I grew up in Luanshya where I did my primary education and later concentrated on business. I couldnt finish school after my mother died and she was a single parent. The little benefits that came from the house where she worked as a maid I sell farming inputs especially maize but I also own my own shop where I sell mainly wrappers for women. My business has been growing but with some good capital I can go very far in my business.
My business has two parts, one I order farming products especially maize from different farmers then I sell at the markets and make profit. The other major one I do is I sell clothes and wrappers in my shop which am renting. These wrappers I buy them from Congo DRC and they are good quality. women in Zambia wear wrappers everyday so the demand is very huge. The profit I buy food and save for future use. I am very committed to saving money.
I do a business where I sell chitenge materials which are traditional wraps. These same materials are being used to make face masks which are being used as an option to surgical masks. They are usually recommended by most schools so the materials are on high demand. I am very positive that I will make a profit which is good for my business and I will use the profits to buy food and increase my capital.
Apart from selling traditional women wrappers I also sell farm produce like maize and maize in my country is on high demand so am able to repay the loan without so much struggle
