About Me

I was born and bred in Nyanza region, predominantly occupied by the luo culture, known to be pleasure loving and not business oriented. Fortunately, my parents are fairly entrepreneurial and they established businesses that while i was involved in running, gave me the opportunity to gain entrepreneurship skills.

Now I am married to one wife and have a young son.

I am a degree holder in Applied Statistics with IT and has been practising as a Data Officer in a local NGO until recently when I changed jobs. I now serve as a social worker at Oyugis Redeemed Gospel Church in a Compassion Internaltional Assisted project. I implement programs that are aimed at holistic child development among the poorest children in oyugis community.

I love to play piano keyboard and bass guitar, and this makes sunday my best day of the week, as I get serve with my skills during the worship service in my local church.

My Business

Thanks to Zidisha, I currently own a stable Liquid Petroleum Gas supply business, single handedly developed from previous loans. Current zidisha funded assets include 20 units of 6kg gas cylinders and lately, 7 units of 13kg cylinders. In addition, I own a motorcycle that I use to facilitate restocks and home deliveries.

Following a recent relocation to oyugis town due to change of jobs, I have since established another branch of the business in town(the one in the village maintained). Although there exists competition, I have an added advantage since I do doorstep delivery and have a measuring scale to verify weight of cylinders at the point of delivery. This strategy is working well and within just two months, my stock base is already being overwhelmed by the client base. I therefore seek to double my operating stock.

While every refill earns about $2 and outlet purchase $13, the two business centres on average yield a total of $120 per month. I am looking forward to employ a business assistant to help me cope with the growing business demand.

Loan Proposal

I would like to register my business at a cost of $105 and purchase the county government operating license at a cost of $35.
I look forward to pursue legal avenues for business expansion and improve financial management through opening an Mpesa till number for the business. for this to happen, I must register and have an operating license. Kindly support me in this venture. Thank you
