About Me

I am Azumah Emma, a widow and a mother of four and 57 years of age. I had both my basic and Senior high school education in Bolgatanga in the upper east region. My late husband's name is Ndaa peter Who worked as a Banker.
I was not able to further my education after secondary school though i had good grades . This was due to my father's reluctantness to see a girl child to the highest level education because by then it was thougt that a woman's place is the kitchen and would be taken to a different home after marriage. I have felt a great negative impact of not being able to complete my education .As a widow i am left with only one source of income after the death of my husband and therefore determined to see all my kids through school successfully.
Two of my kids are currently at the university and the other two at the senior high school.
I now work as manager of my cereals grinding machine which has been another source of income to my households at the time my husband was alive and now.
The two at the university want to be an accontant and a nurse.
My hobbies are reading, cooking and listening to music.

My Business

I operate cereals(maize, millet, guinea corn etc) and Some vegetables(onion, groundnut, pepper, garden eggs etc) grinding machine as a manager. I have also added to my business a more lucrative venture and that is buying maize from the villages at cheap price and grinding them into maize flour for sale at more affordable prices.
Outlined below show why business is in demand.
Almost all our local foods in ghana have to be grinded in a grinding machine before they are finally prepared.
Food vendors and restaurant operators also patronized my sevice very much because they can never operate without my sevice.
The tertiary schools, senior high schools and other schools also rely on my sevice in order to cook meals for their students and fortunately enough berekum has a lot of schools.
Again, the surrounding suburbs and villages around berekum also demand this sevice alot since most of the communities have not any grinding machine but must eat.
With this opportunity, one would never make a mistake for operating in this business.
My total cost monthly is around $200 dollars which goes into light and water bills and also payment of my two employees and make revenue of about $700 dollars, averagely i make about $500 dollars profit a month.
I use most of the money on daily upkeeping of my households, paying my wards school fees and reinvestment and maintenance of some faulty machine.
I am pleading with zidisha team to come to my aid with loans in order to able to pay my kids tuition fees and add up to my grinding machine.
Repayments
I will be able repay my loan from the money i make everyday from grinding machine and sales from the grinded maize.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders I have added to my business buying and grinding of maize into flour for sale. This maize flour is in demand as it used to prepare several dishes at home ranging from porridge, tuo zaafi and banku in my local palance and many others. This loan if funded will be used to buy bags of maize for flour to be sold.
1.I will buy twelve(20) bags of maize at a cost of $18 each =$360
I will make a profit of $9 out of each bag of maize =$180($9*20=$180). All these are sold within two weeks to a month. It is giving me a lot of money and I am happy I have added that to my business. This will will be reinvested into same buying and making of maize flour until the next tuition fee is due. The profits from this maize business plus the grinding machine will give me enough every month.
2.$38 will be added to my savings for servicing of my grinding machine.
Total $398
