About Me

To begin with, am Dominic Gekara Rasugu, I am a resident f Kisii County Kenya. I was brought up in a relatively average family with a moderate income from farming which enabled me to go through a local public primary school and harambe (communal) secondary school. God is good because I passed in my high school and joined College to take a course in accountancy (Certified Public Accountancy-CPA). After passing my examination in CPA Part section I & II, I got a Contract to teach in a secondary school in Kisii town and also teaching as a part time tutor in the same College where I was studying. This enabled me to enroll for my CPA part II section III and IV and passed. With Cash I was getting, things were better and I was able to support my young siblings' fees food, clothing etc. I was also able to enroll for my CPA part III Section V and VI. While doing this, I realized that i have some potential and i wanted it out, i therefore spoke to my friends with similar qualifications and started part time lessons for the working class in the evening and weekends. I intended to grow and manage a higher competitive learning institution for the increasing demand for education. My home land is unique, It is called the land of honey, hunger is not heard of. During my free time, i like watching movies and visiting friends o have fun.

My Business

I run business in part time teaching, i chose this because i have the knowledge, skill and ability. I developed interest in this because the demand for education is high and It was easy to start a part time classes. This is because i was required to hire a small room for teaching and they could take KASNEB examinations. I am intending to grow to a big institution to offer employment to young people who are jobless and improve the standards o living and the economy as well. The return I get from this business enables me to pay rent, teachers and my personal up keep. I also use the profits to buy more equipments as i expect to do more in this business.

Loan Proposal

Given the loan from the Zidisha lenders, I will use to make more office furniture so as with time, I will have a well furnished office to use in attending my customers and students, the materials i will use include broke board (36$), 1kg 2' of Nails(2$) a 2veneer board(26$), Glue 500g(2.8$), labour for the carpenter(11$), conta 1kg(12$) and 1kg paint (8.2$). With a well furnished office, it will make the office decent and attraction of more clients in the aftermath. I appreciate the effort zidisha is making to improve lives in the growing economies.
