About Me

My determination comes from by my desire to make the world a better place through education. It is for this reason that I struggled both academically and financially to make sure that I got a slot in a public university. After completing my secondary school education and passing with flying colors, I was put into the task of starting up a small but innovative business in order to raise my school fees. This was because I have been brought up by a single mother who has three more children to care for.

So my passion for business together with my education hunger led me to start my own cybercafe which enabled me to earn an income to pay my school fees and at the same time to support my mother and siblings.

My Business

My business is located in Maseno in a rural area in Western Kenya, next to a fast growing university known as Maseno. I believe the huge student population is the greatest boost for my cybercafe, especially with the rising demand for internet access in Africa and in Kenya in particular. Many students flock into my business premises every other hour to access online education sources as well as social media sites such as facebook, twitter, instagram and many others.

Though my small cybercafe may seem to be just a business to many people, I consider it as a project meant to make the world a better place for the lives of people I touch through it including the large number of students accessing education through the internet.

Besides internet services, I also offer printing, photocopying, scanning and typesetting services to all my customers. I also take time to train the majority of people around Maseno on how to use computers in their day to day lives. All my services are offered at very affordable, competitive and cost friendly charges.

Furthermore I make good use of my spare and leisure time by visiting the physically challenged and orphaned and less fortunate children in the society.

Loan Proposal

When the loan is 100% funded, I am plan to use the $50 loan together with apart of my savings to buy two desktop computers for my business, upgrading the computers I already have by buying headsets for each so that customers can enjoy audio conversions online or music without having in private and without disturbing other customers. I will also buy 5 flash disks, 8 keyboard and and 5 wireless mouse.

This up gradation will play a major role as far as staying ahead of potential competitors is concerned. I will some of the amount(10) in promoting and marketing my business by designing some posters and signboards which inform potential customers about my business. The profits gained from the business will enable me to clear my loan in a spun of few weeks.

Besides, my business will pick up and I will be able to fully support myself and aid other disadvantaged persons in the society. You support towards funding my loan and achieving my dream will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance
