About Me

My name is Edward Maloba, living and working in Nairobi as a Graphic Designer/ Desktop Publisher and i also double up as a computer technician, I hold a diploma in Information Technology. On the side i just started an aquarium and wall arts business as a hobby and a way to double up my income to enable me pursue education and also support my siblings.

My Business

my business involves aquarium and wall arts. i mainly support this business from the income i make from other small ventures but recently more and more customers are showing interest in my crafts and this has led me to seek funding in order to be able to buy materials. This business is profitable since alot of urban people are developing a liking to hand made, local house decorations. my biggest limitation is capital to enable me make more crafts. i have just started this business and the prospects are good since in a week i am able to clear a project mostly wall arts and make a sale and it also takes a shorter time to finish a project and put it on sale. since every form of art is unique in its own way i have so far not faced any serious competition but on the contrary i am getting more customers. i plan to pay back my loan from the profits i shall make from the sales and also other sources of my income e.g graphic design and my day time job.

Loan Proposal

materials for my aquarium and wall arts include wood, glass, fish, gravel, pebbles, corals, cloth and paper. it costs between 3000 and 10000 shillings to create a wall art or aquarium from scratch but the profit almost always doubles the capital invested if i make a good sale. with this money i intend to buy more materials in order to meet the demands of customers and also make good profits so that i can comfortably repay back the loan and hopefully apply for more.
