About Me

I am a single mother of twin children Paul and Laura , I lost my husband when the children were only one week old , through terrosit attack in west gate mall Nairobi. I am the first born among three children , I went to st cicilia misikhu girls and masinde muliro for diploma in business management.
After the death of my husband who was our sole bread winner life was very difficult these is when I relocated to rural area and started my poultry farm. The major difficulty I faced was lack of expertise in poultry production,I went to bukura agricultural college for training and I am now well adverse on poultry farming matters and the business is doing well.
My children are now 4 years old, and they are really growing fast ,I love them and always wake up early to take them to school.
I am a good singer and choir member in my church, I am a youth leader and a counselor to young widows.

My Business

I run an organic poultry farm where I keep chicken and turkey. I sell chicken for meat and sell fertilized eggs as well as young chicks.
The demand for fertilized eggs is high because most people now have incubators for hatching the eggs.
I choose poultry farming after a friend advised me it was profitable and easy to manage. I am very happy to be a poultry farmer.
my monthly typical costs are $200 for feeds and lighting and labor , my average revenues per month are $450-$500 per month.
I use my profits to take care of my children, pay for fees for my siblings and for home improvement.

Loan Proposal

I am pleased to ask for my first loan.Given the $60 I would use the money to buy a metallic door for my poultry house , I have been using a wooden door but a thieve managed to break it and still eggs, I am not ready for an further loss and I wish to buy a better door to help me secure the poultry house. Thank you.

Sadly it has been over 2 years since Maritina took her loan and she has yet to make any effort to repay.
